Jim Harbaugh is a unique football coach, and his quirkiness has never been limited to the Chargers or the football field.
Chargers linebacker Joey Bosa made an appearance on the Green Light Podcast with Chris Long this week, and shared a story that would be surprising if it were about anyone other than Harbaugh.
According to Bosa, Harbaugh takes ice baths at the facility in full coaching attire.
“He’s been hitting the cold tub, and he just gets in full-outfit,” Bosa told Long. “Shirt still tucked in and he’s just sitting there. He’s just sitting there … belt [and] khakis. I’m like, ‘Coach, do those khakis keep a little insulation, keep a little warmth in there?'”
Whatever the way Harbaugh is taking baths, it seems to be working.
The Chargers are 2-0 with huge games coming up against the Steelers and Chiefs in the next two weeks.
The following week, the Chargers have a bye, and that should give Harbaugh plenty of time in his schedule for all the fully clothed ice baths he can handle.
