Matt LaFleur spoke in slow sentences for inquiring minds who anxiously want to know whether Jordan Love will play on Sunday. A one-word sentence, actually, when asked how the team would list the Packers’ quarterback on the injury report Thursday.

“Limm-uh-ted,” Green Bay’s head coach said.

As for practicing Friday, according to beat writer Rob Demovsky, LaFleur wouldn’t commit. But if Love did receive more snaps, LaFleur said it would be, you guessed it, limited. The Packers will not announce the quarterback’s final status until 90 minutes before kickoff at Tennessee on Sunday (1 p.m. ET, FOX). That’s the deadline for teams to reveal their inactive players.

Love, who injured the MCL in his knee late in the Packers’ Week 1 loss against the Eagles, would miss a second straight game if inactive. And if that’s the case, backup Malik Willis will start against his former teammates after Green Bay acquired him on Aug. 26. If Willis gets the nod, don’t expect the Packers have issues daring the Titans to stop their suddenly formidable ground attack.

But only one hand is needed to count the number of fantasy owners with Willis on their roster. Love was an obviously popular choice in fantasy leagues excited about Green Bay’s deep and talented wide-receiver room. Packers.com provided more insight from Love, who’s busy checking off items on a recovery-process list.

There’s a lot of boxes,” Love said. “What it feels like to take those drops, be in the live fire … the trainers are doing a good job of monitoring me and seeing how I’m doing and how I’m reacting to every play. They’ll be the ones to clear me when the time comes.”
