Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby played every snap for a second straight week and got everything the Ravens had, double-teams, chips and disguises. He still sacked elusive Lamar Jackson twice, pressured him five times and broke up a pass to help Las Vegas to a 26-23 win.

The next night in Philadelphia, Falcons safety Jessie Bates posted 12 tackles and picked off Jalen Hurts to ice Atlanta’s 22-21 win on Monday Night Football.

Those efforts in down-to-the-wire wins earned Crosby and Bates the AFC and NFC Defensive Player of the Week awards, the NFL announced Wednesday afternoon.

Per Nex Gen Stats, Crosby played every defensive snap 10 times last year, while the rest of the NFL combined for just five such games.

Bates, meanwhile, also broke up a touchdown in a close game during the third quarter.
