Green Bay has lost some brutal games at Lumen Field. But the Packers got revenge in their 30-13 win on Sunday night. In fact, Jordan Love and the Packers may have just booted the Seahawks from the playoffs.

In one night, Seattle (8-6) fell from first in the NFC West to outside-looking-in as the current No. 8 team in the NFC. The Seahawks traded places atop the division with the Rams (8-6), who own the tiebreaker by virtue of a Week 9 win in Seattle.

Green Bay, meanwhile, is ascending at the right time. The Packers (10-4) have losses to Detroit (Weeks 9 and 14), Minnesota (Week 4) and Philadelphia (Week 1). That’s three teams that make up the NFL’s four best records. On Sunday, Love and the battle-tested Packers brick-walled Seattle’s four-game winning streak and they might not be done eliminating NFC foes.

Romeo Doubs was the key on Sunday night. The third-year wide receiver caught two touchdowns, including a diving reception at the foot of the goalpost that terminated Seattle’s comeback hopes after the two-minute warning.

“The couple drives before that,” Love said after the game, “we just felt like we weren’t getting much out of it, you know, we weren’t executing at that high level and making those plays we were making. To kind of have some of those drives stall out and then to put a drive down the field and finish with that touchdown out there — Romeo making a great catch — definitely helps you be able to breathe a little bit better.”

Love finished 20 of 27 for 229 yards and two touchdowns. More importantly, he didn’t turn the ball over and Green Bay’s offensive line shut out a Seahawks defense that had posted 11 sacks over its previous four games.

The Packers have won four of their last five since a Week 10 bye. Two of their final three regular-season games are at Lambeau Field, starting with New Orleans on Monday Night Football next week. Green Bay closes with a trip to Minnesota in Week 17 and a season finale against Chicago.

Having lost control of its destiny, Seattle also gets the Vikings, who travel to Lumen Field next week. The Seahawks close at Chicago and at the Rams, hoping for help from spoiler-minded NFL colleagues. They may have to win without starting quarterback Geno Smith, however. Smith’s second-half knee injury may also sideline him against Minnesota.
