Unlike other sports, replacing bad losses in football generally takes about a week. That’s the case for both the Jets and Titans, who meet Sunday at Nissan Stadium

Tennessee enters its home opener (1 p.m. ET, CBS) as an underdog despite boasting the league’s top defense after Week 1. Last week, Harold Landry and Sebastian Joseph-Day recorded sacks and the Titans held Chicago’s Caleb Williams to just 93 passing yards. But Will Levis fell to his knees after his interception helped the Bears erase a 17-3 deficit and win without scoring an offensive touchdown.

A day later, the Jets seemed a little too calm after a 32-19 loss Monday night in San Francisco. Aaron Rodgers engineered an impressive first-quarter touchdown drive but the Jets then surrendered 23 unanswered points. By the time Rodgers could lead New York back into the end zone late in the third quarter, the game was basically out of reach.

Jets cornerback D.J. Reed (knee) and nickelback Michael Carter (ankle) both missed time this week. Carter will play but Reed is questionable after unexpectedly missing practice Friday.
