As a rookie, Will Levis threw four touchdowns in his first NFL start, a Week 7 win over Atlanta. Then, he threw only four more over the balance of the season.

On their Check the Mic podcast, Sam Monson and Steve Palazzolo from The33rdTeam.com were impressed Levis threw for any touchdowns.

“He should not have shown anything last year based on the line that was in front of him,” Monson said Wednesday.

So this offseason, general manager Ran Carthon and the Titans found Levis an offensive head coach, Brian Callahan, and several new friends, including upgrades at center (free agent Lloyd Cushenberry) and left tackle (first-round draft choice JC Latham).

Carthon also acquired wide receivers Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd and running back Tony Pollard, and drafted Jha’Quan Jackson, who figures to add spark in both the slot and in the return game.

Levis and the Titans open with an intriguing game on the Week 1 schedule, at Chicago Sept. 8.
