Steve Spagnuolo: The Chiefs’ defensive coordinator will interview remotely with the Jets, Raiders and Jaguars on Friday for their respective head-coach roles, Dan Graziano reports.
New England Patriots: Lions DC Aaron Glenn reportedly has declined the Patriots’ invitation to interview for the team’s head coach.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Adam Schefter reports the Jaguars will conduct a head-coach interview with Detroit OC Ben Johnson on Saturday afternoon.
Las Vegas Raiders: Adam Schefter reports the team will conduct head-coach interviews with Lions OC Ben Johnson and DC Aaron Glenn virtually on Friday…Bucs beat writer Greg Auman notes Tom Brady and Tampa Bay assistant GM John Spytek have known each other since they were Michigan teammates.
Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks have submitted an offensive-coordinator interview request for Saints OC Klint Kubiak.
San Francisco 49ers: The team announced it has completed defensive-coordinator interviews with former Jets head coach Robert Saleh and Lions DB coach/defensive passing game coordinator Deshea Townsend.
Kliff Kingsbury: The Commanders offensive coordinator said Thursday he wouldn’t address whether he would leave the team for a head-coach role. In a feature by beat writer John Keim, Kingsbury said, “It would take a lot to leave this kid.”
Detroit Lions: Fletcher Mackel from WDSU in New Orleans believes former Saints head coach Dennis Allen would make an excellent replacement for Aaron Glenn in Detroit, should Glenn leave for a head-coach position. Allen has deep ties to Dan Campbell.
Tennessee Titans: The Titans have requested a general-manager interview with Bears assistant GM Ian Cunningham, a finalist for the role two years ago.
Las Vegas Raiders: Two days after firing head coach Antonio Pierce, the Raiders fired first-year general manager Tom Telesco. Dianna Russini reports Raiders ownership wants a cohesive partnership between coach and GM moving forward, something that doesn’t feel arranged or forced, and Tom Brady is very influential in Las Vegas. Mike Florio believes the move is further indication that the Raiders are still pursuing Bill Belichick.
Cleveland Browns: Darrell Bevell, a former interim head coach and offensive coordinator now serving as Miami’s QB coach and pass game coordinator, is expected to interview for Cleveland’s offensive coordinator role, Jonathan Jones reports. Mary Kay Cabot says Bevell is in Cleveland to interview on Thursday. Also, Tom Pelissero says Seahawks QB coach Charles London will interview for Browns OC on Friday.
Las Vegas Raiders: The Raiders will interview former Jets head coach Robert Saleh for their vacancy, Mike Florio reports.
Jacksonville Jaguars: The team announced it has added Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo to its list of head-coach interview requests. This marks the third interview request for Spagnuolo (Raiders, Jets).
Seattle Seahawks: Head coach Mike Macdonald is planning to interview Bears interim head coach Thomas Brown for his vacant offensive-coordinator position, Tom Pelissero reports. In addition, the Seahawks will interview Lions offensive line coach Hank Fraley for offensive coordinator on Friday.
Indianapolis Colts: Tom Pelissero says longtime NFL assistant Steve Wilks and former Bengals DC Lou Anarumo are expected to interview for the Colts’ defensive coordinator next week. Albert Breer reports the Anarumo interview is scheduled for Tuesday next week.
Dallas Cowboys: Adam Schefter notes on ESPN’s Get Up that Jerry Jones obviously has a plan should Mike McCarthy not return in 2025. Schefter speculates that a college coach such as Steve Sarkisian at Texas could be a potential target in that case. Dan Orlovsky says the Cowboys and Bears would be wise to inquire about college coaches such as Sarkisian and Ryan Day once their seasons end.
Tennessee Titans: Per Jonathan Jones, the Titans have requested permission to interview Seahawks senior director of player personnel Matt Berry for its GM vacancy.
Dallas Cowboys: Jeremy Fowler reports Mike McCarthy spent significant time Tuesday and Wednesday discussing his future with Jerry Jones.
New England Patriots: League sources with knowledge of the Patriots’ search consider Mike Vrabel the favorite as the team’s next head coach, per Jeremy Fowler. There’s also speculation Vrabel could return Josh McDaniels as Drake Maye’s offensive coordinator.
Cleveland Browns: The team has interviewed its own TE coach/passing game coordinator Tommy Rees for its vacant offensive coordinator, per Mary Kay Cabot.
