A rookie quarterback and a fantasy cheat code are the AFC and NFC Offensive Players of the week for the Broncos and Saints, respectively. Denver’s Bo Nix and New Orleans Fantasy Cheat Code Taysom Hill led their teams to important wins on Sunday.

Nix compiled a 145.0 passer rating, hitting 28 of 33 passes (84.8 percent) for 307 yards and four touchdowns, in Denver’s 38-6 win over Atlanta. In the process, he became the second rookie quarterback ever to reach 300 passing yards, four touchdown passes and a rating of 140-or-better. The first of what figures to be many more Player of the Week honors for Nix, it follows his October Rookie of the Month accolades. No other Denver rookie quarterback has ever won a weekly honor from the league.

This No. 12-overall selection in April’s draft, Nix and the Broncos (6-5) travel to Las Vegas (2-8) on Sunday (4:05 p.m. ET, CBS) to play the No. 13-overall choice, Brock Bowers. Last week at Miami, the Raiders tight end had 13 catches – most by a rookie tight end in NFL history — for 126 yards and a touchdown. Among all NFL players this season, Bowers ranks second with 70 receptions this season. Only one other player ever has had more catches over his first 10 NFL games: Odell Beckham Jr. (71).

Hill is such a dynamic player, he’s actually won prior Player of the Week awards on both offense (Week 5 in 2022) and special teams (Week 14 in 2018). In last week’s win over Cleveland, he had one of the most impressive single-game stat lines in NFL history. With eight catches, 188 scrimmage yards (138 rushing, 50 receiving) and three rushing touchdowns, he became the first non-running back in NFL annals to reach 125 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns in a game.

The BYU product has helped New Orleans to a two-game winning streak. After their bye this week, the Saints (4-7) are home to the Los Angeles Rams on Dec. 1.
