In six years when the Commanders move into a new stadium on the site of the old RFK facility, Jayden Daniels should get his name on the building-dedication plaque. After all, in eight months, the rookie has transformed an entire metropolitan region and reversed the trajectory of a franchise. And in Sunday night’s 30-24 overtime win over Atlanta, he returned Washington to the playoffs.

But here’s the most mind-blowing accomplishment of Daniels’ mind-blowing rookie season: On five occasions now over his first 16 NFL games, he’s completed a touchdown pass in the final 30 seconds. No other player – rookie or veteran – has reached that number in a century-plus of NFL games.

Beginning with the Daniels Miracle Victory (DMV), the Hail Mary to beat Chicago Oct. 27, here are those five plays. And while Daniels could add to this list now that he officially has postseason reservations, don’t take him for granted.

Daniels also reached 864 rushing yards on the season Sunday night to break the single-season NFL record held by former Washington star Robert Griffin III. Prior to Sunday, Griffin had held the most rushing yards by a rookie quarterback, 815 in 2012.
